Susan Elmslie Her poetry collection, I, Nadja, and Other Poems won the A.M. Klein Award and was shortlisted for three other prizes. Paul Serralheiro Poet, musician, & writer; author of a chapbook, Engines. Published in numerous periodicals; teaches English at Dawson College. Julie Keith Author of two books - short-listed for the GG Fiction Award and le Grand prix du livre de Montreal - won the Hugh MacLennan Prize. Michael Lithgow Carleton PhD, School of Journalism; poetry published in Rutting Season ( Buffalo Runs Press.) Contributing editor at ArtThreat.net. Ehab Lotayef poet, songwriter, photographer, writings reflect social & political justice. Author of, To Love a Palestinian Woman, (TSAR, 2010). Sandra Sjollema Her poetry has appeared in Poetica Magazine, the Leonard Cohen: You’re Our man Anthology, Rhythm Poetry Magazine. Jean E. Tuesday May 11 CONFERENCE ON ANGLO-QUEBEC LITERATURE
"La littérature anglo-québécoise: réceptions, analyses, ouvertures"
Jean-Coutu Pavilion at Université de Montréal, 2940 Chemin de la polytechnique. (METRO Côte des neiges OR Université de Montréal). Organized by Lianne Moyes and Gillian Lane-Mercier, the conference will open at 9am with a Roundtable featuring Marianne Ackerman, Antonio D'Alfonso, Katia Grubisic, David Homel, David McGimpsey and Jarrett Rudy, animated by Patrick Donovan. The roundtable is co-organized with Lorraine O'Donnell of QUESCREN whose two-day conference at l'ACFAS runs Monday May 10 and Tuesday May 11. Following the roundtable there will be papers (some in French, some in English) by Jason Camlot, Julie Frédette, Martine-Emmanuelle Lapointe, Catherine Leclerc, Samuel Mercier and Gregory Reid.
