Officer Cadet Maxwell Hazledine: Poem
By
Jan 25, 2010, 21:37

Time

here in my chair
drinking my vodka
thinking to myself about life
the young, the old
the unwise, the wise
the thoughts of girls
pushed aside by thoughts of living
the hand is close to the hour
here in my chair
life drains my power
I sit with my vodka
for its my only comfort
the thoughts that once filled my mind
changed by time
the pictures don't hang straight
the beds aren't made
no longer the free spirit
but replaced by the sickness and being tired
alone

alone

alone
by the fire
